Retirement Profile
Planning note: if you report a promotion during the final 36 months, months before the promotion month use Previous Rank and the promotion month forward uses Retirement Rank. If you select No, Retirement Rank is used across all 36 months. The Retirement Effective Date is the date retirement begins; active-duty service is calculated through the day before that date.
Pay Projection Assumptions 2027–2030 forecast · 2.5% long-range
2023–2025 basic pay is reconstructed from the official 2026 baseline using published annual general pay adjustments; those values are planning estimates, not archived pay tables. TheWing uses 3.6% for 2027, 3.3% for 2028, 3.2% for 2029, and 3.0% for 2030. This field controls the annual planning assumption beginning in 2031.
Retirement Breakdown
High-3 Projection
Your final 36 months are assembled from reconstructed prior-year basic pay, official 2026 basic pay, and future planning projections to estimate your High-3 average.
How It Works
We use reconstructed prior-year basic pay for 2023–2025, official 2026 basic pay, and TheWing's planning forecast schedule for future years.
Your final 36 monthly basic-pay values are averaged to calculate your High-3.
The High-3 average is multiplied by your retirement-system service multiplier.
2023–2025 basic pay is reconstructed from the official 2026 baseline using published annual general pay adjustments and is not an archived historical pay table. Future years are planning estimates: 3.6% for 2027, 3.3% for 2028, 3.2% for 2029, 3.0% for 2030, and the selected long-range assumption beginning in 2031. If a promotion during the final 36 months is reported, pre-promotion months use Previous Rank and the promotion month forward uses Retirement Rank; otherwise Retirement Rank is applied across all 36 months. Results show gross retired pay before taxes, SBP, or other deductions. Actual retired pay may differ.
